Covid-19 Impact in 2021
The information provided below is our best estimate on what the club will be able to offer based on what we know in the fall of 2020. Everything from group sizes, training venues, provincial sport regulation, and Township of Langley guidelines may require us to revise any and all aspects of the JD Group program.
The track rascal program is a Run Jump Throw Wheel (RJTW) non-competitive program for those athletes between the ages of 6 – 8 who would like to try track and field for the first time and want a fun recreational experience. Developed by Athletics Canada, RJTW is the grassroots development program for our sport. This FUNdamentals program teaches the skills of running, jumping and throwing and the technical skill progressions for track and field events. Although is designed for ages 6-8, this program has progressions for older athletes, and can be adapted for special needs.
Practices run once a week from mid-April to mid-June.
The Track Rascals program is for children from 6 to 8 years old (children born in the years 2013 – 2015) and focuses on the basics of running, jumping and throwing. This FUNdamentals program teaches the skills of running, jumping and throwing and the technical skill progressions for track and field events.
