Members of the Langley Mustangs Track Club competed well in the hot Okanagan conditions in Kelowna at the BC High School Track and Field Championships held May 30 to June 1. There were several medallists and outstanding performances over the three day competition which caps the high school season. Gold medal performances were turned in by Ian Vandergugten in the Senior Boys 110m hurdles and Aiden Grout and Nolan McEachern in the Senior and Junior Boys high jump. Head Coach Andrew Lenton was impressed by the Mustangs’ performances in this high calibre meet: “The competition and depth was the best its been in several years. For so many of our athletes to finish in the top 8 was a major accomplishment. Now we are looking to build on this succcess as we move into the club season and target provincial and national level competitions.”
