Langley Mustangs JD Athletes Race to Success in 2024 Cross Country Season

The 2024 JD Cross Country season was a remarkable journey for the Langley Mustangs, showcasing the dedication and talent of our 38 athletes. Training twice a week at Derby Reach Park throughout September and October, our team was well-prepared to take on the competition.

Competing in five BC Athletics Sanctioned races as part of the Lower Mainland Cross Country Series, the Mustangs consistently demonstrated their prowess. Several of our athletes achieved top-three finishes, earning prestigious year-end awards. Collectively, the team accumulated an impressive 1,305 points, securing a third-place overall finish in the series.

The season finished with a strong showing at the Provincial Championships in Vernon, where we proudly sent 10 athletes to compete. Our Mustangs brought home three individual medals, proving once again that we can compete with the best in BC.

Congratulations to all our athletes for their hard work and outstanding performances this season. Go Mustangs!
