On October 24, 2020, our Mustangs attended the Valley Cross Country Meet. It was cold and windy. However, for the runners it couldn’t be any better, because for approximately 10 minutes life was normal.
“It was exciting for competitors and coaches to have an opportunity to compete during this time of Covid restrictions”, as noted by Coach Andrew Lenton.
The Valley Royals did a great job adapting the event to the Phase 3 restrictions and provided the runners with a safe and fun competition.
Per Coach Andrew, “The Mustangs had a strong showing at the event with top finishes in elementary, high school and senior categories.”
The day started with 3 of our Grade 4/5 girls finishing in the top 5 and our Mustangs continued to compete well throughout the day.
Thank you coaches and runners for a strange but great 2020 season!
McLeod Renovations are complete. We look forward to being able to train again at this facility in the near future.
Loosened COVID-19 restrictions will allow practices by track club, but not competitions
