Communicable Disease Plan Acknowledgement
With the Province of British Columbia transitioned to Step 3 of the Restart Plan, the requirement to have a COVID-19 Safety Plan has now being replaced with a Communicable Disease Plan (“CDP”).
Our organization has an established CDP and is prepared to implement additional prevention measures as required by a medical health officer or the provincial health officer to deal with communicable diseases. At a minimum, our CDP addresses the following:
• We have implemented a policy to support our members who may be sick with a communicable disease (for example, fever and/or chills, recent onset of coughing, diarrhea), so they can avoid participating in an activity.
• We will promote hand hygiene by providing appropriate supplies and reminding our members through our policies and procedures to wash their hands regularly and to use appropriate hygiene practices.
• We will continue to maintain a clean environment through routine cleaning processes (e.g. shared equipment, etc.).
• We will adhere to any caps on attendees, or other facility rules, that the Township may establish, as the facility owner, to comply with current guidance from a medical health officer or the provincial health officer.
